OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE
Ingredients:
- 1 cup quick oatmeal
- 1 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cube (1/2 cup) butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cocoa
- 12 oz chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts
Directions- Pour water over oats
- let stand 10 minutes
- Preheat oven to 350
- Add brown and white sugars, and butter to oats
- Mix well
- Add eggs
- Sift all dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture
- Add 1/2 package of chocolate chips
- Pour into greases, floured 9x13 pan
- Sprinkle rest of chips and nuts on top
- Bake for 40 minutes
